The wedding day can be just as nerve-wracking for the groom as it is for the bride. From getting dressed to remembering the vows, there are plenty of details to attend to. But with a little bit of preparation, the groom can feel confident and ready to take on the big day.

Here are some tips for grooms leading up to and on the wedding day:

Haircut

It’s important to look your best on the big day, so make sure to get a haircut and any necessary grooming a few days before the wedding. This will give you time to touch up any mistakes and ensure that you look your best. Now is not the time to try out that mullet you’ve been thinking about.

Vows

Write out and practice your vows. The vows are an important part of the wedding ceremony, so it’s important to spend some time practicing them beforehand. This will help you feel more confident and ensure that you deliver your vows with sincerity and emotion.

Eat!

Eat a healthy breakfast. It’s important to have some fuel in your tank before the wedding ceremony. Eat a healthy breakfast that includes some protein, like eggs or Greek yogurt, to keep you energized and focused throughout the day. There will be plenty of time for drinking later, take it easy for the first half of the day.

Relax

Stay calm and focused. It’s natural to feel a little bit anxious on the wedding day, but try to stay calm and focused. Take deep breaths, remind yourself of the love that you and your partner share, and remember that the most important thing is to celebrate your union.
