The Madison Theatre was built in 1917. It seated over 1,800 and was one of the the largest theatres in Detroit’s Grand Circus Park. After closing its doors in 1984, it sat empty until 2011 when Rock Ventures bought the building and transformed it into a modern space for events in downtown Detroit.
Loft and Auditorium: The fifth floor of the building is a flexible and striking open floor space that you can customize to fit your perfect wedding day vision. The exposed brick and giant windows give this wedding venue a classy industrial vibe. Featuring a built-in sound system and prep kitchen for your caterers, The Madison Loft is the perfect space to host both your ceremony and reception. The Loft can accommodate up to 150 seated guests or 180 in a strolling reception.
The Rooftop: With stunning views of downtown Detroit surrounding you, The Madison Rooftop is the ideal spot for a modern and classy wedding reception. It features a full bar and a covered catering area to make your vendors feel right at home and give you a fantastic strolling wedding reception. The balcony wrapping all the way around the perimeter is sure to be a hit with you and up to 180 guests, offering views of Comerica Park and the rest of beautiful downtown Detroit.
